DANSK
Danseforestilling ANTS 1+1=3 er en myldrende legemliggørelse af et samfund i miniature. På scenen går fem dansere med stor fysisk styrke, udholdenhed og baggrunde i street dance, voguing, club dance, martial arts og contemporary dance, der sætter krop og bevægelser på myrenes verden. Musikken er skabt af komponist Turkman Souljah.

Kampen for overlevelse, fællesskab, styrke og sammenhold i et samfund på kanten af katastrofe. Myren er arbejder, ingeniør, kriger og elsker. Den både dyrker naturen, opretholder den biologiske orden og er villig til at gå i døden for fællesskabet. En superorganisme og et organiseret samfund, der får den skandinaviske velfærdsstat til at ligne det rene anarki. Fortællingen om myrenes liv er historien om de helt store temaer i små størrelser. Hvordan de mest undseelige insekter, som de fleste måske mest ser som en pestilens, i virkeligheden kan vise mennesker vejen frem i en verden præget af grænseløs individualisme og udfordringer, der kalder på kollektive svar. Kunne vi stå sammen som myrerne, var der ikke det, vi ikke kunne løfte sammen.

ANTS 1+1=3 er skabt i tæt dialog med myre ekspert og seniorforsker Hans Joachim Offenberg fra Institut for Bioscience ved Århus Universitet, som bla. er forfatter til bogen ”ants”.

DANSE WORKSHOP
Vi tilbyder danseworkshops med fokus på samarbejde, teamwork og insektinspireret bevægelse, samt workshops indenfor streetdance-genrer som Hiphop, House og Popping. For forespørgsler og mere information send venligst en mail.

Dance performance ANTS 1+1=3 is a teeming embodiment of a society in miniature. On stage are five dancers with great physical strength, endurance and backgrounds in street dance, voguing, club dance, martial arts and contemporary dance, who put body and movements on the world of the ants. The music composed by Turkman Souljah.

The struggle for survival, community, strength and unity in a society on the brink of disaster. The ant is a worker, engineer, warrior and lover. The story of the ants' lives is the story of the very big themes in small sizes. A super organism and an organized society that makes the Scandinavian welfare state look like pure anarchy. How the most elusive insects, which most people may see as a pestilence, can in fact stand together in a world characterized by boundless individualism and challenges that call for collective responses. If we could stand together like the ants, there was nothing we could not lift together.

ANTS 1+1=3 was created in close dialogue with ant expert and senior researcher Hans Joachim Offenberg from the Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University, who, among other things, is the author of the book "ants".

DANCE WORKSHOPS
We offer dance workshops with focus on collaboration, team work and insect inspired movement, as well as workshops in such streetdance genres as Hip hop, House and Popping. For inquires and more information please send an email.
