Concept and theme:
A piece is inspired by the Nordic mythology characters "Norns". Norns are "female destiny powers who decide about a human's destiny and life length. They occur at the birth of a child, where as on a loom weaves the fate threads. "(Gyldendals "The Great Danish Dictionary").
Weave in Weave out is an abstract interpretation of a classic tale of life and death ... And our idea of great feminine power...
Weaving is a recurring visual inspiration for the choreographic work and are used in movement patterns as well as the interaction between the dancers.
Anastasija Olescuka come to represent over-the Norn, Urd that weaves life patterns of all life on earth, but also dictates the time of the end. Siri Lindskrog and Laura Jervidalo Ravn are representatives of the life that over-Norn weaves at the beginning and they live out the destiny set for them.
